Lost a load of ETH after connecting my MetaMask to a fake 'Polygon Airdrop' site, anything I can do?
Hey everyone, i'm absolutely gutted. Last night, around midnight, I saw a tweet (that looked legit, tbh) about a huge Polygon airdrop for ETH holders. It linked to a site that mimicked the Polygon official page almost perfectly. I was half-asleep, excited, and ngl, greedy. I connected my MetaMask wallet and signed a transaction, thinking I was just confirming my eligibility. Within minutes, my entire ETH balance was gone. Just... poof. Like 2.5 ETH, which is basically all my savings. I've checked Etherscan, and I can see the transaction, it went to some random address, which then sent it to another, and so on. It looks like it was immediately swapped for USDT and then likely sent to an exchange. I feel like such a fool. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Is there *any* way to track this, or is my money completely gone? My partner is furious, and I just don't know what to tell her.
Lost a load of USDT after 'customer support' from supposed Kraken expert, is it gone?
I really need some advice. I was trying to withdraw some USDT from my Kraken account, but it kept giving me an error. I went online, searched for Kraken support, and found a number. The person who answered sounded legit, very professional. They walked me through troubleshooting, said my account was 'flagged for unusual activity' and I needed to verify by connecting my wallet to a 'secure audit portal' they sent me a link for. Foolishly, I followed their instructions, signed a transaction that came up on my MetaMask, and next thing I know, all my USDT is just gone. Like, completely wiped out. This all happened yesterday evening, around 8 PM here in Johannesburg. I feel so stupid. I’ve contacted actual Kraken support now, but they said it looks like a phishing scam. Is there anything at all I can do? Or am I just out of luck?
Lost ETH to a fake 'Uniswap' site, wallet drained - any chance of recovery?
I'm so gutted. I was trying to swap some ETH for another token, and I thought I was on Uniswap, but it was like, a slightly different URL. My MetaMask popped up, I approved the transaction, and thought nothing of it until a few minutes later my entire wallet was drained – like 4 ETH gone, just completely vanished. I know, I know, I should've checked the URL more carefully. I was tired, it was late, and I swear it looked legit. It happened last night, around 11pm here in Galway. I tried looking at the transaction on Etherscan but it just shows the ETH going to some random address. Is there ANYthing I can do? I reported it to the Gardaí this morning, but they just looked at me like I was speaking Martian. My partner is absolutely furious, and I just feel sick to my stomach.

Feeling so stupid right now, I honestly can't believe I fell for this. So I saw an ad, I think it was on YouTube or maybe even Instagram, for this new 'high-yield' ETH staking platform. It looked really legit, polished website, even had a fake audit report linked. They promised insane APY, like 200%. My partner warned me, said it sounded too good to be true, but I ignored her. Feeling absolutely devastated right now. I was trying to log into my Binance account last night, really late, around 2 am, and I clicked on what I thought was their official link from a Google search.
